The purpose of this studio is to provide a thorough musical foundation while maintaining a safe, warm, and welcoming environment for piano study. I enjoy teaching students of all levels and ages and strive to provide the best possible piano and musical education for every student.
Attendance, Practice Expectations, Performance Opportunities:
I encourage students to regularly attend lessons to gain the most out of their musical studies. To make progress, daily quality practice is expected. Students are enthusiastically encouraged to participate in studio recitals, performance classes, examinations, and festivals.
2022-2023 Yearly Tuition for Private Lessons
Tuition includes not only time spent in the actual lesson but also: an individualized plan for each student’s piano study, recital planning, repertoire selection, professional development, and continuing education. The 2022-2023 calendar includes 38 weeks of scheduled lessons, 2 studio classes, and 2 recitals.
Payment: please include 10 post-dated cheques for the 2022-2023 term at the first lesson in September. Payments by cash and e-transfer are also accepted. Students beginning lessons in the middle of the year will be pro-rated.
Cancellations and Make-up policy: Makeup lessons are only given for scheduled lessons that I have to cancel. Should you need to miss your lesson, please let me know. Makeup lessons for scheduled lessons the student cancels cannot be given unless a time becomes available in my teaching schedule during the week. If unforeseen circumstances cause the student to terminate lessons before the end of the 2022-2023 year, one month’s notice or one month’s tuition payment is required. Lastly, I will schedule two studio performance classes during the year as an opportunity for extra instruction.
Recitals, Festivals, Exams, and Studio Classes: Two online recitals will occur during the year; participation is encouraged though note required. Additionally, graded conservatory examinations and festival participation are encouraged.
