Music Learning Theory
Andrew’s teaching is informed by Music Learning Theory (MLT), a research-based approach developed by Dr. Edwin Gordon. Through singing, movement, rhythm, improvisation, and keyboard exploration, students develop audiation—the ability to hear and understand music internally. These musical experiences give greater meaning to music notation and help students become confident readers, expressive performers, and creative, independent musicians.
